Pino AI: Ask Your Restaurant a Question
Pino AI is the copilot built into Kappino. Ask in plain language, such as "How did we do today?" or "What is running low?", and get an answer drawn from your own sales, orders, stock, customers, reservations and staff data.
What Is Pino AI?
Restaurant software holds the answers to most of your daily questions, but finding them usually means opening three reports and setting filters. Pino AI does that for you. Open it from any screen in Kappino, or use the ⌘/ keyboard shortcut, type your question and the answer appears in the chat.
Pino AI works on your restaurant's live Kappino data, not generic advice. It also answers how-to questions about Kappino itself, so new managers can ask how a feature works instead of searching the help centre.

Asking a question never changes anything in your restaurant.
From Answers to Actions, Rolling Out Gradually
We are piloting actions in Pino AI, starting with booking a table from the chat. Pino checks your booking rules and availability, then shows a Confirm reservation card. Nothing is saved until an admin or manager clicks Confirm. This feature is rolling out gradually to restaurants.
Coming soon: the AI Voice Receptionist, which will answer the phone and take reservations, is in development.

Does Pino AI use my real restaurant data?
Yes. Pino AI answers from the data in your Kappino account: orders, sales, menu, stock, customers, reservations, staff and branches. Answers are built from that data and show their sources, so you can check every number.
Which languages does Pino AI speak?
Pino AI answers in English, Italian, German, French and Spanish, the same five languages as the Kappino staff app.
Can Pino AI change my data?
Asking questions is read-only. Booking a table from the chat is a pilot that is rolling out gradually, and even then nothing is saved until an admin or manager confirms the reservation card.
Can I use Pino AI on my phone?
Yes. Pino AI is available in the Kappino app for iPhone and Android, as well as in the web app on any computer or tablet.
Who on my team can use Pino AI?
You decide. Access is set per role in Kappino's roles and permissions, and each user only sees answers for the branches they are allowed to access.
